Scope

This policy applies to our website https://www.motorhomekings.uk and any sub-pages we operate (e.g., online booking). It does not cover third-party sites we link to; please read their policies.

The data we collect

We may collect the following categories of information:

  • Identity & contact: name, email, phone, postal address.

  • Vehicle details: make/model, registration/VIN, service history, photos you supply.

  • Booking & service data: requested services, preferred dates, communications.

  • Payment data: payment status and identifiers (card details are handled by our payment provider and are not stored by us).

  • Technical data: IP address, device/browser type, pages viewed, cookies and similar technologies (see Cookies).

We collect data directly from you (forms, calls, emails) and automatically (cookies/analytics). In some cases we may receive data from third parties (e.g., warranty companies or insurers where you ask us to liaise with them).

Why we use your data (lawful bases)

We process your data on one or more of the following bases:

  • Contract: to provide quotations, accept bookings, carry out work, take payment, and provide after-sales support.

  • Legitimate interests: to run and improve our business (e.g., diary management, customer service, record-keeping, preventing fraud).

  • Legal obligation: accounting, tax, safety and regulatory records.

  • Consent: optional marketing (only if you opt in) and service reminders (you can opt out anytime).

We never sell your data.

Payments

Card payments and online deposits are processed securely via Dojo (our payment provider). We receive confirmation of payment and limited transaction metadata; we do not store full card details on our systems. If we offer alternatives (e.g., PayPal bank transfer), those providers process your data under their own policies.

Sharing your data (processors & recipients)

We may share limited data with trusted providers who help us operate our services, for example:

  • Motasoft VGM – online booking/garage management.

  • Dojo – payment processing and fraud prevention.

  • Website hosting/IT support & analytics tools (e.g., hosting platform, error logging, usage analytics).

  • Couriers/suppliers/warranty or insurance partners where relevant to your job.
    These providers act under contract, follow our instructions, and must keep your data secure. We only share what’s necessary for the task.

International transfers

Some tools we use may store or process data outside the UK. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards (e.g., UK adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses).

Retention

  • Booking/service records and invoices: up to 7 years (for tax/legal purposes).

  • General enquiries: up to 24 months after last contact.

  • Marketing/reminder preferences: until you opt out.
    We delete or anonymise data when it’s no longer needed.

Your rights

Security
