Caravan and motorhome tyres age out
Leisure vehicles often stand for months, so their tyres can perish long before the tread wears down. Replacing them about every five years, whatever the tread looks like, is widely recommended. Your tyre's age is shown by a four-digit code on the sidewall: 2219 means week 22 of 2019.

How to read your tyre size
Your tyre size is printed on the sidewall. In the example 205/55 R16 91V:
✓ 205 is the width in millimetres
✓ 55 is the sidewall height as a percentage of the width
✓ R16 means it fits a 16-inch wheel
✓ 91V is the load and speed rating, which is important on heavy caravans and motorhomes
Common questions
When do my tyres need replacing?
The legal minimum tread depth for cars, vans, caravans and motorhomes up to 3.5 tonnes is 1.6mm. Replace them sooner if you see cracks, bulges or uneven wear, or if caravan and motorhome tyres are around five years old.
How quickly can you fit them?
We order tyres in for each job, usually for fitting the same day or the next day, depending on the time you get in touch.
