Screening — Technician
Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience required.
Mechanic / Auto Technician — The Role
Location: Wallsend (NE28 6UZ) · Hours: Full-time · Salary: Negotiable depending on experience
You’ll take the lead on all mechanical work within our busy workshop, supporting the wider team on servicing and repair projects. This is a hands-on role for a capable, confident mechanic who’s comfortable owning the mechanical lane end-to-end.
Key Responsibilities
- Mechanical servicing, repairs, and diagnostics (motorhomes, vans, tow cars).
- OBD fault-finding; braking, suspension, drivability, fluids, belts.
- MOT prep and inspection work.
- Coordinate with reception on estimates, parts, and timelines.
- Maintain high standards of safety, housekeeping, and documentation.
Skills & Experience
- Qualified mechanic (NVQ Level 2/3) or equivalent proven experience.
- Comfortable diagnosing and repairing faults independently.
- Motorhome experience helpful (not essential) — willingness to learn is key.
- Full UK driving licence required.
